There Is A Lapse In Our Blog. Here’s Why…

The pandemic this year has brought out many emotional components that were still lurking within our adopted children. The isolation from friends, church, and school events left their emotional insecurities raw and exposed. Our 10 year old son started lying and binge eating at night to the point he would make himself throw up. We prayed, sought advice from others, and decided to put up security cameras, locks on fridge, and locks on the pantry. We made consequences for his lying, and he resisted to the point that he ran away. Thanks to the Bixby Police Department we found him! The emotional recovery from this for our family has taken us some time. I appreciate your understanding, and our family is better and stronger than ever due to this! God brought out the deepest recesses of their pain, exposed it, and then we all worked on healing. We are still healing, but our son is better today, because of this. I am thankful for this experience, even though it was painful!
