Maintenance care!

My family and I have been coming to Upper Cervical since February of 2020. During the past two years we have learned to appreciate the care we receive. I have been checked weekly while my kids are checked every two weeks. Some days we all need an adjustment while other days we do not. At first I questioned why I would come if I felt great, so in the summer of 2020 we stopped coming as often. I was booking appointments when I was in pain or had excruciating headaches. Eventually my pain got to the point that I was coming sometimes twice a week. That is when I realized how important maintenance care is with chiropractic. We may not need an adjustment every time, we may just need a little tweak here and there, and we may need the full adjustment, but I was coming frequently enough to catch what my body needed before I started to feel the pain. My five year old knows when he is out of alignment, he will come up to me and say “mom, my neck or head hurts, can we go see Dr. Mike?” Let that sink in, my five year old has learned to know his body well enough to know when he does not feel good and that something is off. My children are rarely sick, they are active, healthy boys, and they are learning how important their health is and why it should continue to be a priority in their lives. Chiropractic care has changed the way I view health care, it has opened my eyes to a world of possibility versus limitations.
